With UMS Population Alert System the different entities of the Public Sector are able to distribute information to the attended recipients in a very fast, reliable and cost efficient way.
The system allows community and public officials to alert the population in a geographical area in just a few minutes. It also allows the recipients of the message to respond by simply pressing given keys on the telephone. This information will instantly be stored in the system.
UMS Population Alert System consists of integrated maps and an updated database covering both fixed and mobile phone numbers to private homes, companies and organisations. By simply selecting an area on the map you can call all inhabitants with a pre-recorded message. The selected area will be saved in the system, so that additional messages can be sent to the same recipients.

UMS Population Alert System is an efficient and automated alert tool offered to community and public waste disposal services. UMS Population Alert System is an automated alert system with an ability to call many thousand people within an hour. You simply mark the relevant area on a digital map and the system finds the phone numbers to the households in the area. These households are then called with a pre-recorded message. This information method started an extensive Norwegian project, “The 2004 Dangerous Waste Operation” The aim of the project was to collect dangerous waste collaborating with the Ministry of Environment, NRF, LOOP, municipal and the waste disposal services. Several tests show that by using our voice system the response received from the public is significantly better compared to sending brochures, e-mail or SMS.
In addition to being extremely efficient, this is also very cost efficient service, because you only pay for the messages that are confirmed delivered.
