Translated into English:
"This is a test of a new system to alert Norwegians abroad during crises, developed in cooperation with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Innovation Norway. Receiving the message is free of charge."
UMS, in cooperation with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Innovation Norway, is now in the finishing stage of completing an R&D project to look into possibilities to alert Norwegian mobile phone subscribers abroad. Both Telenor and NetCom (telecom operators) are contributing to the project. The purpose of the project is to look at the technological and regulatory possibilities.
Clarification of privacy regulations and information protection has been central in the project. Use of the system gives no access to personal data linked to SIM-cards. Persons receiving messages during tests in the project, are 100% anonymous. There is no information stored outside the systems of mobile operators.
