UMS Conversion Services

UMS Conversion Services enable sending and receiving of messages in different formats. Our servers receive messages as fax, voice or SMS, convert them and deliver as email. They also receive email, convert and send as fax or SMS.
Fax@Mail
UMS Fax@Mail does not require any installation or software investments.
Your email address is linked to a fax number in our system. All faxes sent to this number will automatically be forwarded to your email address. The fax is received as an email attachment, straight into your inbox. If you want to keep your existing fax number, you simply transfer it to the number allocated to you in our system. All incoming faxes will have a subject field starting with “Fax from”. The attachment you open is the fax the sender sent to your fax number.
Fax@Mail makes your workday more efficient and saves time and money.

Mail@Fax
With UMS Mail@Fax service you can send faxes directly from your email system. It’s easy and efficient!
You send the fax as an email attachment, with the attachment arriving the recipient’s fax machine in the same way as an ordinary fax. To send a fax, you send an email to the following email address: “fax+recipient’s_faxnumber@umscom.com”. Only the attachment goes to the recipient’s fax machine. The subject field and the body text will not be shown. When you have sent the fax, a receipt is always sent to your email address. With this service you can send fax directly from your CRM system, and the fax will automatically be saved on the contact.

Mail@SMS
Mail@SMS is a service that offers an easy way to send SMS from existing email applications. No installations are required for this service. The service and access to use it is set up on our server. Sending SMS is just as easy as sending email. There are two options; You can either use your GSM number as sender, giving the recipient an option to reply, or the sender can be set as a string of maximum 11 characters. The second option disables the reply functionality for the recipient.

SMS@Mail
SMS@Mail is a service for sending email from your mobile phone. The only requirement is that you are a GSM subscriber. For access to SMS@Mail you have to be registered as a customer of UMS or one of our distributors. To use SMS@Mail you send an SMS to a number provided by UMS. Then the message is converted and sent as email. The service can be set up in two different ways depending on who is to pay for the conversions, either ways the service can be set up with limited or unlimited access.

Voice@Mail
With UMS Voice@Mail you can have your voice messages directly into your inbox, and you can listen to them on your personal computer. You simply reroute your telephone to a Voice@Mail number that you receive from us.

All your telephone messages are sent to your email address as sound file attachments. By opening your inbox, you can listen to the message or forward it as an email. You may also call your own answering service and leave messages for yourself. This may be a good idea if there is something you don’t want to forget or if you want to send voice messages to one or more email recipients.

The service is also useful for switchboards. Before leaving the office for the day, you reroute the telephone to your Voice@Mail number. The next morning the receptionist opens and listens to the sound files, and distributes them to the person concerned. You decide yourself what telephones to reroute; it could be your private, office or mobile phone. You also decide the email address for delivery.

Voice@Mail is an efficient way of organizing incoming voice messages. Electronic storage makes it easier to retrieve important messages that are left on your telephone answering service.
